A corona vaccine is not yet approved in Germany, but the preparations for vaccinations are becoming more specific. Where vaccination centers should be set up, how the vaccines should be stored and who should pay for everything – an overview.
Where to vaccinate?
The national vaccination strategy provides that the federal government procures the vaccination doses and distributes them to fixed storage locations in each federal state. The first vaccination centers are said to have been set up in December. There will be vaccinated later. For retirement and nursing homes, however, mobile teams are provided. The vaccination centers are to be operated by the federal states with the support of resident doctors and hospital doctors.
In Berlin For example, six vaccination centers with 15 vaccination places each are currently planned. According to RBB, the Berlin trade fair is a possible location. The Senate expects that in future 20,000 people can be vaccinated there per day. In Rhineland-Palatinate are to be 36 vaccination centers arise. Health Minister Sabine Batzing-Lichtenthaler expects the centers to be ready by mid-December.
