CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 77% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Commissions to your advantage

The Advantage account is our most popular account for good reason – it applies the lowest costs for your trades! How low? Typically zero spreads on FX Majors, as low as zero spreads on Gold/Dollar, and an exceptionally competitive commission-based structure.

On Advantage MT5 accounts, commission is fixed at $4 per lot and doesn't change based on volume and equity, nor the market you’re trading.

On our Advantage MT4 account, however, the commission terms are flexible. The higher your equity and the larger your trading volume, the lower the commissions you pay, which is also known as floating commission. This is one of the most competitive commission terms in the trading business.

The formula to calculate commission on the Advantage MT4 account is:

(Volume * Contract Size * Open Price) / 1,000,000 * Commission * 2.

Assume you have a USD account, your equity is between 0$ - 2,999$ and your trading volume is below 100 million. Commission for 1 lot per instrument would look like this:

Instrument in questionOpen PriceCalculationCommission per 1 lot
EURUSD1.21892(1 * 100,000 *1.21892) / 1,000,000 * 20 * 24.88 USD
AUDCAD0.97969(1 * 100,000 * 0.97969) / 1,000,000 * 20 * 23.92 CAD
After exchange rate is applied:
3.01 USD

You can apply the same formula to calculate commission with other instruments, relative to their sizes (which you can review here).
